Warsaw, 16.04.2025 |

The challenges associated with technological progress, migration and demographic change were the main topics of a two-day informal meeting of European ministers of labour and social affairs, which took place in Warsaw on Monday under the auspices of the Polish presidency of the Council of the EU. This was stated by the Polish Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bakova at a press conference after the event. This is reported by the Warsaw correspondent of TASR.
According to the minister, the priority is to ensure safe and quality jobs and protection from the risks brought by the development of artificial intelligence and civilizational changes. The ministers also discussed the possibilities of using digital technologies to better reconcile work and family life, as well as to increase employee protection, for example through monitoring working time or transparent control of algorithms.
"The challenges that Poland faces today are not very different from the problems faced by other EU countries," said Dziemianowicz-Bakova, who therefore considered it important to exchange experiences at meetings such as this one.
The ministers also addressed the topics of long-term care, social integration and migration. Particular emphasis was placed on issues of economic and social security, which, according to the minister, are a prerequisite for the competitiveness and resilience of the EU.
Representatives of the European Commission, social partners and representatives of Ukraine also attended the meeting. The minister appreciated their participation and stressed that the strength of the EU lies in the quality of its policies, in investments in improving the economy and working conditions, which can be an advantage in global competition.odkaz na stránku |
