The inflation rate in the Czech Republic increased to 2.5% in October
Prag, 11.11.2025
The annual inflation rate in the Czech Republic increased to 2.5% in October 2025 from 2.3% in the previous month. This was shown on Tuesday by revised data from the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO), which confirmed the preliminary estimate. TASR reports this based on a report by the RTTNews portal. The increase in October inflation in the Czech Republic was mainly contributed by the acceleration of the growth rate of prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages (to 3.6% from 2.7% in September), as well as alcoholic beverages and tobacco (to 4.3% from 3.3%). Prices of various goods and services (3.1% compared to 2.9%), recreation and culture (4.2% compared to 4.1%) and prices in healthcare (3.2% compared to 3.1%) also grew at a faster pace. However, the growth rate of transport costs (0.2%), telecommunications (0.5%) remained unchanged, while clothing and footwear prices fell by 1.7% in October, the same as in September. On the other hand, price growth moderated in the case of restaurants and hotels (to 4.7% from 4.8%), education (to 4.1% from 4.2%), household equipment and maintenance (to 1.4% from 1.5%) and housing and energy (to 1.9% from 2%). In a month-on-month comparison, consumer prices in the Czech Republic increased by 0.5% in October after falling by 0.6% in the previous month. odkaz na stránku
