| The R2 Kriváň - Mýtna road was officially opened |

| The newly built section of the R2 between Kriváň and Mýtná was officially opened in the village of Kriváň in the Detva district on Thursday morning. The expressway to Novohrad with the longest bridge in Slovakia, which took four years to build, was opened with a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Minister of Transport Jozef Ráž (nominated by Smer-SD) and Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD). Motorists will be able to use the section from later in the afternoon.The toll road runs through the rugged terrain of the Krivánske potok valley. The approximately nine-kilometer-long expressway is mostly above ground level. The section consists of almost 6.5 kilometers of bridges, including the longest bridge in Slovakia with a length of 4,374 meters.
The expressway between Kriváň and Mýtna will be charged for motorists, and the speed limit will be 130 kilometers per hour. According to Filip Macháček, CEO of the National Highway Company (NDS), the section is not only interesting for its location above ground, but also for the construction process itself.odkaz na stránku |
