| The trade networks associated with the Slovak Trade Association (ZO) are not interested in doing business with producers or distributors who, through practices such as falsifying the country of origin, would primarily mislead them as buyers and, ultimately, consumers. Filip Kasana, the president of the ZO SR, stated this for TASR in response to Friday's (August 21) statements by the opposition KDH about the suspicion of falsification of Slovak origin food.
"If the announced illegal action by the relevant authorities is proven, it is necessary to establish responsibility so that there are no unserious practices on the market," he underlined.
On Friday, the KDH announced that it would file a criminal complaint regarding the suspicion of falsification of Slovak origin food. It is thus responding to new serious information about the systematic labeling of vegetables imported from abroad as Slovak. The KDH also calls for extraordinary inspections in retail chains and accountability for anyone who participated in deceiving consumers.odkaz na stránku |
