President will chair the Summit “EU – People's Republic of China” at Prague Castle
The President of the Czech Republic, Václav Klaus, will chair the Summit “European Union – People's Republic of China” on 20 May 2009.
The Summit will be held in the framework of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The President of the Czech Republic along with European Commission President José Barroso and Secretary General of the Council of the European Union Javier Solana will participate in the Summit on behalf of the European Union. The delegation of the People's Republic of China will be lead by Prime Minister Wen Jiabao.
After the summit a bilateral meeting will take place between the President of the Czech Republic and the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China.

13:45 – meeting of the President of the Czech Republic with the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China

13:50 – launch of the plenary session of the summit of the European Union and the People’s Republic of China
