Jadranka Kosor is new Croatian prime minister

Croatian Times The Croatian Parliament chose Jadranka Kosor as new prime minister late yesterday (Mon). Kosor, a former deputy prime minister and minister for the family, veterans' affairs and intergenerational solidarity, received the votes of 83 of the 128 MPs who voted. Considering that Parliament has 153 members, Kosor needed a majority or 77 votes to become a prime minister. Parliament has also approved Kosor’s new government. Radovan Fuchs is the new minister of science, education and sports, and Tomislav Ivic is the new minister of the family, veterans' affairs and intergenerational solidarity. The new ministry of administration will be headed by Davorin Mlakar, and Bianca Matkovic will become minister without portfolio. Petar Cobankovic, the current minister of regional development, forestry and water management, will become minister of agriculture, fisheries and rural development. The other 10 ministers will be the same as in the previous government. Former Prime Minister Ivo Sanader will officially hand over power to Kosor today (Tues). odkaz na stránku
