| Minister J. Kubiš hosted farewell lunch to outgoing US Ambassador R. S. Vallee |

| Minister of Foreign Affaires of the Slovak Republic Mr. Ján Kubiš hosted today a farewell lunch to the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America Mr. Rodolph S. Vallee who is due to leave Slovakia on December 5, 2007. Thereat Minister J. Kubiš appreciated Ambassador’s more than two years acting in Slovakia. He stressed primarily his numerous activities in many regions of Slovakia, thus contributing to the rapprochement between the United States and broad Slovak public.
J. Kubiš was upbeat on the cooperation between the US Embassy led by Ambassador Vallee and senior Slovak officials and institutions. Thanks to this the high dynamics of our bilateral relations has been arguably maintained. Slovakia and USA operate as a solid strategic partners striving to deepen this nature of relations. At the same time, Slovak side particularly expressed its gratitude to the outgoing US Ambassador for his relentless efforts to include Slovakia in the US Visa Waiver Program.
US diplomat thanked for the smooth cooperation and informed that he had rejoiced greatly in the opportunity to serve as Ambassador of the United States to Slovakia. Mr. Vallee said to be delighted to have contributed to the common endeavor to include Slovakia in the US Visa Waiver Program.
Minister Kubiš presented Golden Medal to Rodolphe S. Vallee as a gesture of acknowledgement of his work in Slovakia.
