| Cargo Slovakia should not become a part of a joint venture with the Czech CD Cargo |
| Praga, 30.11.2007 |

| Freight rail forwarder ZSSK Cargo Slo-vakia should not become a part of a joint venture with the Czech CD Cargo, agreed the ruling coalition on the basis of a pro-posal submitted by HZDS. HZDS leader Vladimir Meciar suggested this during a press conference on Thursday.
However, the Transport Ministry is still preparing an analytic document for the cabinet on the possible creation of the joint venture. Expert groups have also been created in Slovakia and CR that should evaluate this possibility. (SME/6)
Rents in Bratislava could stagnate or even drop after 2009-10. Michal Roth from real estate agency Lexxus feels
this is due to the fact that the offer of flats for rental is starting to exceed demand. Also, in the next two years developers will complete new flats that were purchased especially for “speculative” purposes, expecting that they will be offered for rent. Roth thinks, however, that the prices of real estate will continue to grow.
Real estate agents estimated that Bra-tislava alone needs around 80,000 new flats. Last year 4,000 were completed, and 14,500 in the whole of Slovakia. If Slovakia wanted to catch up with the EU15 in the next 10 years, some 80,000 flats should be completed a year.
