| Slovakia fell to 49th place out of 165 countries in the business freedom ranking |

| In the latest Economic Freedom of the World (EFW) 2025 ranking, published by the Canadian Fraser Institute, Slovakia dropped seven places to 49th out of 165 evaluated countries. In the overall ranking, Hong Kong retained the first place, followed by Singapore and New Zealand. This was reported by the Slovak Institute of Freedom and Enterprise, which collaborated on the preparation of the ranking.
