| Indian Tata AutoComp takes over the plant in Lozorno through Artifex |

| Indian group Tata AutoComp officially enters the Slovak market through Artifex Systems, which has taken over the car interior systems manufacturing plant in the automotive industrial park in Lozorno (formerly IAC Group Slovakia) near Bratislava.
Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, through its British subsidiary Artifex Interior Systems, has completed the acquisition of a 100 percent stake in IAC Group (Slovakia). This strategic acquisition will strengthen Tata AutoComp’s capabilities and create a foundation for further expansion in the UK and EU markets. The intention supports Tata AutoComp’s ambitious growth plans and strengthens the company’s position as a major player in the European automotive industry.
According to Vladimír Šimoňák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy (SR), the transaction holds the promise of further expansion. “I see this transaction as an example of what we want to see in the automotive industry and the Slovak economy as a whole. This transaction holds the promise of further expansion, further entrenchment of existing production in Slovakia and further cultivation of supplier relationships,” said Šimoňák.
“The integration of Artifex Systems (formerly IAC Slovakia) has been successfully completed, which represents a significant step in building the Artifex brand and fulfilling our global growth strategy. Thanks to this integration, we are better prepared to bring long-term value, operational excellence and top quality to global OEMs. We have a clearly defined plan to strengthen the Artifex brand, which unites Artifex Systems AB, Artifex Interior Systems and Artifex Systems - with operations in Sweden, the United Kingdom and Slovakia - under a single and coherent identity,” said Arvind Goel, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tata AutoComp Systems.
“I am delighted that IAC Slovakia, now Artifex Systems, is joining the Tata AutoComp Group. I believe that under the leadership of Tata AutoComp, Artifex Systems will continue to grow and make a significant contribution to the automotive industry in Slovakia. This step confirms the strong potential for deepening industrial cooperation between India and Slovakia,” underlined the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Slovak Republic, Apoorva Srivastava.
Artifex Interior Systems provides a comprehensive portfolio of interior and exterior systems for the automotive industry and offers “full service”, just-in-time supply solutions covering design, development, production and deliveries. Artifex Systems supplies major OEMs, including Jaguar Land Rover, BMW Mini, Bentley, INEOS and Toyota in the passenger car segment. The group has plants in the UK (sales of $300 million, 1,800 employees), Sweden (sales of $800 million, 1,500 employees) and Slovakia (sales of $190 million, 800 employees).
