| A new warehouse has been completed at the brewery in Veľký Šariš |

| Brewers from the Šariš Brewery in Veľký Šariš have put a new warehouse into operation after a year of work. Along with it, they have also modified the outdoor storage areas for packaging. The renovation of the premises is another significant milestone in the brewery's logistics, 30 years after the construction of the last warehouse. The total investment reached almost three million euros. According to the brewery, it will bring a higher level of flexibility and efficiency of distribution, as well as improved working conditions for workers. Bianka Zoľáková informed TASR about this on behalf of the brewery.
The warehouse with five loading ramps has an area of approximately 2,500 square meters. The project also included the modification of the outdoor storage areas for packaging with an area of 5,000 square meters and the removal of the original warehouse, which no longer met the brewery's current requirements for the process arrangement of storage spaces. The new warehouse will allow brewers to distribute beer more flexibly and efficiently while maintaining higher standards of occupational safety, which will have a positive impact on the smoothness of deliveries.
“The new warehouse and the modification of the outdoor storage areas for packaging are a strategic investment for us, which will not only increase our logistics capacities, but also speed up processes and contribute to higher work safety. The project is the next step in the modernization of the Šariš Brewery, in which we have invested approximately 12 million euros in larger projects since 2022,” explained the brewery’s director Petr Kwaczek.
The warehouse has beams that were designed and manufactured to meet all safety requirements and at the same time allow for minimizing the number of columns in the warehouse interior for more optimal use of space. The roof of the warehouse is structurally prepared for the possible installation of a photovoltaic power plant in the future. The main contractor for the entire construction is Dynamik Construction s.r.o.
The warehouse uses energy-efficient LED lighting and heating via heat pumps. Soil infiltration for rainwater, which will be retained in the landscape, was installed on the outdoor storage areas.
"I am very pleased that this new warehouse will take the logistics of the entire Prazdroj plant in Slovakia to a new level. We will increase flexibility, supported by five loading ramps, and at the same time improve the conditions of daily operations. This will allow us to respond more effectively to demand and optimize the distribution of our brands," added Tomáš Sedláček, Warehousing Manager at the production plants for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. |
