| Slovak-Spanish dialogue continues |

| The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, welcomed the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, Sofía Ruiz del Árbol Morová, to Slovakia today. The partners confirmed the strategic level of dialogue between Slovakia and Spain, which is further strengthened by recent and other planned mutual visits at a high political level.Spain is Slovakia's 14th most important trading partner, with mutual trade between the two countries steadily growing and currently reaching 4.3 billion euros.
"More than 60 Spanish companies are already operating in Slovakia, and we want to continue strengthening our economic cooperation," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Over 800 soldiers of the Spanish Armed Forces are stationed at the Lešť military base as part of a NATO combat unit, which Spain also commands. Ambassador Ruiz del Árbol Morová expressed gratitude to Slovakia for its shown solidarity and assistance in extinguishing the extensive fires that affected Spain in the summer of 2025.
