| Wizz Air adds six regular flights from Bratislava |
| Bratislava, 17.03.2026 |
 |
| Low-cost airline Wizz Air is expanding its regular flights from Bratislava's M. R. Štefánik Airport with announced flights to six more destinations. On Monday, it began operating flights to Tirana, Berlin and Rome from Fiumicino Airport. This is according to information about flights on the Bratislava airport's portal.
On Tuesday (March 17), Wizz Air will start regular flights from the Slovak capital to Dortmund, Pristina and Ohrid. It originally planned to launch a route to Tel Aviv, but due to the war in the Middle East, it has temporarily postponed it to the end of March. "Wizz Air has postponed the launch of direct flights to Tel Aviv to March 30, but the implementation of flights will depend on the situation in the country," Bratislava Airport said on its social network.
The total number of scheduled routes that the carrier currently operates from Bratislava will increase from 19 to 25 after the addition of six new ones. It stopped operating the route to Niš at the end of February. Flights on the domestic route Bratislava - Košice, which has been operating since November 21, 2025, will be expanded from nine to thirteen frequencies per week from March 21. It has previously announced that it will also start flying to Tuzla, Warsaw, Nice at the end of March, to Podgorica in May and to the island of Mykonos in June.
Before further expanding its routes from Bratislava, Wizz Air ended its operations at Vienna Airport on Sunday, from where it moved some of its aircraft to the airport in the capital of Slovakia.
"The air carrier Wizz Air has placed its fourth aircraft at its base at our airport, which will allow it to open new air connections," Bratislava Airport reported. These are Airbus A321neo aircraft with a capacity of 239 seats.
This year, carriers have already announced 19 new airline routes from Bratislava Airport, but there are 18 on the map. "Two carriers will fly to Tirana - Wizz Air and Ryanair. Both carriers will fly to Warsaw from two different airports," the airport explained.odkaz na stránku |
