| The Labor Office in Galanta registers further mass layoffs |

| The Galanta Labor Office has recorded three mass layoffs in this district since the beginning of the calendar year. At the end of March, a company engaged in the production of plastic packaging was added, which reported 52 jobs at risk. This follows from information provided to TASR by the press and communication department of the Labor, Social Affairs and Family Center.
At the turn of February and March, Samsung Electronics Slovakia announced the decision to terminate the operation of its television production plant in Galanta. Following this, a company engaged in the production of plastic components, which is located near Galanta, also reported mass layoffs. The Labor Office has recorded 1,068 jobs at risk of mass layoffs in the Galanta district since the beginning of the year.
