| New Sl Milan Zachar will become the new Slovak Ambassador to the Republic of Argentina. From his position as head of the diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires, he will also cover five other South American countries (the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the Republic of Chile, the Republic of Paraguay, the Republic of Peru and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay).ovak Ambassador to Argentina.Ambassador Milan Zachar has already represented Slovakia in Latin America on several occasions - as Ambassador to Brazil and Cuba, and also at the Slovak Embassy in Mexico. He has also headed Slovak embassies in Kenya and Turkey, where he also served as the Consul General of Slovakia in Istanbul.
The head of Slovak diplomacy, Juraj Blanár, recalled that Slovakia is interested in further intensification of trade and economic relations with Argentina, as well as in the development of scientific cooperation with Argentine universities and scientific institutions.Slovak-Argentine trade exchange has a significantly growing trend. In 2023, record exports from Slovakia to Argentina amounted to more than 105 million euro. As the new Ambassador Milan Zachar said, the economic exchange with other countries under the jurisdiction of the Slovak Embassy in Buenos Aires, especially Chile and Peru, is also developing positively.At the same time, five honorary Slovak consulates are active in the region, two in Paraguay and one each in Chile, Peru and Uruguay.
