| Experienced diplomat Iveta Hricová has become the new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of North Macedonia.She previously served as Ambassador to Greece and held diplomatic postings at the Slovak missions in the United States, the United Kingdom, and at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris. Since the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic, she has worked at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where she has twice held the position of Director General of the European Affairs Department.
Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Juraj Blanár, reaffirmed Slovakia’s support for North Macedonia on its path towards EU membership, noting that the country’s European integration remains a key pillar of Slovak–North Macedonian relations.As Ambassador Hricová explained, Slovakia contributed several years ago to launching a national debate in this Western Balkan country about EU membership.Bratislava, 28 August 2025 odkaz na stránku
